Newswire/ -- Nine member companies of the Independent
Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors Association (ICMAD)
were recognized for their innovative products, package
designs and marketing ideas with the association's
second annual CITY Awards for Cosmetic Innovators of The
Year.
The winners were
announced at an awards ceremony during ICMAD's 32nd
annual meeting on June 16, 2005, at The Grill Room at 2
World Financial Center in New York City. Guest celebrity
Kathy Dwyer, CEO and Founder of skinklinic in New York
City, Greenwich, Conn., and Las Vegas, Nev., presented
each cosmetic innovator with the distinguished award.

new categories in personal care, color cosmetic and skin
care innovation, we nearly doubled the number of entries
in our entrepreneur awards program this year," said
ICMAD President Karen Acker of KA Consulting Corp. "We
honor all of our finalists for their innovation and
creativity, and we recognize and thank each of them for

The CITY Award was
judged by respected advertising, marketing and sales
executives with experience, but without current
affiliation, in the cosmetic industry.
